Engineered Pump Services, Inc. (EPS) is seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Quality Control Technician. The Quality Control Technician will primarily be responsible for inspecting new and repair parts, balloon prints, utilize various measurement devices effectively, verify material certifications, approve raw material, and accurately document results. The individual may provide technical expertise to customers as needed. The Quality Control Technician will collaborate with shop personnel to answer questions and the engineering TEAM to ensure open communication and successful projects. The position’s primary focus is on inspecting new and repair parts.
Job Responsibilities:
• Utilize precision measuring equipment, 3D scanners and CMM equipment.
• Balloon new part prints and develop inspection programs for new parts.
• Approve new and repair parts by conducting measurement and visual inspections.
• Maintain and organize measurement results and documentation.
• Engage proactively with project engineers and shop personnel.
• Keep measurement equipment calibrated and functional by calibrating per schedule and setting up repairs.
• Collaborate closely with production to achieve common goals.
• Develop proficiency with E2, Solid Works, and other internal tools to complete daily tasks.
• Always maintain a neat and professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Maintain a safe work attitude and “Fitness-for-Duty” to prevent on-the-job injuries.
• Develop good working relationships with shop personnel.
• Support the MISSION, VISION and the CULTURE of EPS!
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year working in a quality or manufacturing environment is required.
• Ability to read blueprints is required.
• Training in Solid Works, AutoCAD, or other similar design programs is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Fluent command of the English language.
