We are seeking a Site Foreman to meet rapidly growing demand for our design-build retaining walls, arch structures, and sound wall applications in the Mid-Atlantic States, MD/DC/VA/NC/PA/NY/NJ/. Candidate must be willing to train with an existing Foreman in a Leadman capacity until Superintendent is comfortable with experience, knowledge and skill level plus the ability to work independently as a Foreman.
This position travels to each project and supervises a crew in accordance with Geo’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training new employees, planning, assigning and directing work; assessing, rewarding and coaching employees, creating a highly performing team that feels proud of their work accomplished every day.
Earnings Potential: You earn travel time to each project, $55/day meal assistance and then travel time to get home two weeks later. Your hotel room is paid for and in addition to your hourly rate, you are working consistent overtime. Our rate of pay is generally between $26 and $33/hour depending on your experience. $1200/week - $30 x 40 hours
$450/week - $45 x 10 hours overtime
$225/week – $30/hour based on 5 hours of travel time each week
$275/week - $55/day per diem for miscellaneous expenses while traveling
$111,800/year- Total potential earnings
Minimum Qualifications: Preference given to candidates with Deep Foundations or ground improvement Foreman experience which may include drilled or driven vertical piles, excavation, bracing, sheeting and shoring, or auger piles
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Communicates respectfully to customers and employees
- Willingness to work overtime, (this is an hourly position) and travel from project to project within MD/DC/VA/NC/PA
- Physical Requirements include lifting, climbing, walking thru wet or dry construction sites, pushing and carrying, and willingness to work in extreme mid-Atlantic temperatures.
- Heavy equipment experience in a skid steer or excavator
- Basic proficiency of computer software (Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook)
Essential Job Functions Include:
- Manage all on-site resources to ensure a safe project at all times
- Ensure all quality control measures are strictly enforced for all Geopier element installations
- Set up projects to ensure quality, productive installations
- Provide open communication and teamwork with client, superintendent, project managers and crew
- Ensure equipment is being properly maintained and utilized
- Monitor material quality when delivered to ensure specifications are met
- Make sure QC information is entered on a daily basis to allow for project manager and engineering review
- Train and mentor equipment operators and quality control employees in a responsible manner
- Treat others with respect as you would like to be treated
- Properly evaluate equipment when it arrives on site and again at the completion of the project prior to transport
- Ensure internal production system (R-Link) reporting is accurately completed in a timely manner
- Engage and identify suggestion from crew members on efficiency and production improvements
- Minimum Qualifications: Ground improvement Foreman experience preferred or willingness to start out in a quality control position for training purposes.
