This Production Planning Manager leads communication between Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Administration and customers to manage the end to end processes of material requirements planning and the MRP system. As the Production Planning Manager, addressing process inefficiencies, staff training gaps, and resource production roadblocks will be critical components to this role. Specific duties and responsibilities for the Production Planning Manager are as follows:
- Develop, deploy, and manage the Production Schedule within MRP system to effectively meet customer contract manufacturing needs
- Establish, manage, track, and monitor inventory levels
- Develop a strategic materials management strategic plan
- Manage, train, coach, and appraise performance of 1-5 direct reports.
- Review and analyze data to identify areas of opportunity for process improvement.
- Manage the collaboration between Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Administration departments.
- Establish and maintain consistent and effective communication between stakeholders regarding potential production bottlenecks, material delivery delays and inventory shortages.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
We're actively looking for Production Planning leaders with the following background profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) or professional certification in Materials Management or equivalent
- 5 years of related experience working in a material manufacturing environment and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPIM certification desired, but not required.
- Strong leadership skills with a minimum 2-3 years’ experience directly managing employees.
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 / ISO13485 QMS, and FDA manufacturing requirements.
- High level of proficiency with using MRP Systems, Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management Software.
