Job Description
The Jr Litigation Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of litigation cases from initiation to resolution. This role involves managing a team of legal professionals and administrative staff to ensure the efficient and effective management of all aspects of the litigation process. You will collaborate with attorneys/paralegals/leads in the mass tort process, work closely with clients, develop client case specific proof required to sustain a claim, assist clients with understanding the litigation and claims resolution process, relay the advice and counsel of the attorneys to clients
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage the entire lifecycle of litigation cases, from intake to resolution, ensuring all deadlines are met and all necessary paperwork is filed.
- Conduct research and review case files to determine the best course of action and provide recommendations to attorneys.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of paralegals, legal assistants, and other support staff to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Utilize project management skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for litigation, including researching relevant laws and drafting legal documents.
- Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Write reports and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with contract negotiation and review.
- Experience providing executive administrative support to attorneys.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft legal documents.
- Strong clerical skills with the ability to manage complex case files.
- Strong proficiency with Excel
- HS Diploma required, AA or BA preferred
- Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Ability to work overtime as needed
