Trial Attorney (Strong Litigation Experience) Position
Fast-growing Midtown Atlanta law firm seeks an experienced mid-level litigation attorney who is willing to learn our unique practice area and is passionate about the healthcare industry. Our law firm focuses on defending healthcare professionals in all aspects of professional license matters, including license applications, Board complaints and investigations, employer investigations, allegations of professional misconduct, allegations of drug diversion or abuse, and professional malpractice cases. Our firm also represents healthcare professionals in criminal matters and business transaction matters such as contract drafting, negotiation and business formation. This is a highly collaborative position, meeting regularly and working together to vigorously defend our clients. This position requires excellent writing skills.
Our Firm promotes a positive work culture. The perfect person for this position should have at least five years of litigation experience (criminal defense and/or personal injury experience is preferred) and will most importantly be organized, attention to details, great written and verbal communication skills, a forward thinker, and a self-starter who is proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe, with great customer service skills.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Draft Detailed Responsive Documents
- Draft memorandum summarizing client defense responses
- Keep track of information and documents obtained from client, submitted to regulatory agency or tribunal, etc. throughout the life of the case
- Prepare expert packets
- Conduct research
- Draft various correspondence and pleadings
- Exchange e-mails and conduct telephone calls with clients, witnesses, experts, and other legal professionals
- Administrative hearing appearances including preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and other tasks as needed
- Track time spent on tasks and enter into billing software
- You need to have strong skills in the following areas: research, writing, courtroom presentation, the ability to communicate with clients, and use common technology.
- We are looking for a team player willing to take ownership of a client's case, including direct contact with clients and opposing counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and handling depositions, pretrial hearings, and trials. Yes, trials.

Education/Experience:
Law Degree, Georgia Bar License, Minimum 5 years of litigation/trial experience (criminal defense and/or personal injury)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $120,000-$150,000 per year
