Job Description: A large utilities company is looking for a Data and BI Architect to be a key member of their Business Intelligence and Analytics team. The Data & BI Architect is responsible for designing, creating, and managing data architecture. This role is critical in establishing a solid foundation for data management, ensuring that data is organized, accessible, secure, and aligned with business objectives. The data architect will design warehouses, file systems and databases, and define how data will be collected and organized. This role requires the person be an experienced leader with deep hands-on experience in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and customer analytics. This will be a hybrid role in Newark, DE 2-3 days a week.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience in BI and analytics which includes:
- Five (5) years of experience as a data architect in the design and implementation of data models for enterprise data warehouse
- Experience leading projects involving data warehousing, data modeling, and data analysis
- Experience in the design and implementation of data architectures and concepts such as cloud services Azure Databricks, PySpark
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, HANA, Oracle, Hadoop, or Teradata
- Experience with business intelligence tools and technologies such as ETL, Power BI, and Tableau
- Experience in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), real-time data distribution (Kafka, Dataflow), and modern data warehouse tools (Snowflake, Databricks)
- Experience programming languages such as Java, Python C/C++.
- Experience in entity-relationship modeling, metadata systems, and data quality tools and techniques
