Contracts Attorney will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's vendor management initiatives. This position will focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various vendor agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and Negotiating Vendor Agreements:
- Prepare, review, and negotiate a wide range of vendor agreements, including service agreements, purchase orders, consulting agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure that legal terms align with operational requirements.
- Conduct due diligence on potential vendors, including reviewing their legal documentation and financial information.
- Contract Management:
- Manage and maintain a centralized repository of vendor agreements and related documentation.
- Monitor contract compliance and identify potential risks or issues.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on contract interpretation and enforcement.
- Legal Research and Analysis:
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Analyze complex legal issues and provide practical advice to business teams.
- Risk Mitigation:
- Identify and assess legal risks associated with vendor relationships.
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks and protect the organization's interests.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- 2+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on contract drafting and negotiation.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and legal terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
