Job Responsibilities:
- The responsibility of the Heavy Equipment Technician Mechanic entails proficiently executing mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks on heavy equipment. (Mulching heads, land clearing equipment and construction equipment).Repairing, modifying, and troubleshooting equipment.
- Repairing and modifying equipment: Installing hydraulic cuplers, Swapping out teeth and Replacing or modifying wiring harness.
- Performing pre-delivery inspection on equipment.
- Assisting dealers, customers, and salespersons with technical issues through phone calls, emails, and in person.
- Recording all in-house repairs, external repairs, and warranty information in the company operating software.
- Using computer system to provide on-demand assistance to customers and facilitate build changes to machines.
- Efficiently and safely loading and unloading of tractor trailers and shipping containers.
- Maintaining a clean and organized department.
- Providing back up to shipping and receiving department.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Preferred education associate degree in business or bachelor’s degree in Business but not required.
- 3-5 years of relevant, hands-on in system hydraulics, electrical and mechanics with the ability to read schematics.
- Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and technical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties.
- Must be able to pass an MVR screening.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
Work Hours
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
