Director (Technology Manager)/SME, Banking and Financial Services.
Iris is looking for a leader for its Banking and Financial Services Practice to enhance its domain strengths and provide solutions to its clients that can help solve complex business problems. The keys expectations of the role are:
- 15+ years of experience ideally across IT services, Fintech, Consulting and client organizations – Services/Consulting experience is a must
- Should have spent 5-8 years in a senior solutioning capacity in the Domain (Capital Markets) with one or more clients. A good part of this needs to be onshore/onsite.
- Experience working with offshore teams is a must.
- Ideally should come from a technical background but functionally conversant about the domain
- Asset classes and Primary vs. secondary markets, market structures, participants and high-level processes.
- Overall, Sales & Trading Lifecycle understanding an experience including similarities/nuances/differences across asset classes and geographies.
- Experience with / understanding of systems/ applications in the lifecycle, integrations, performance and other sensitivities.
- Experience with Pricing, Position Management, Risk Calculations & Management, E-trading, STP & Connectivity, Market Data, EOD Processes for more than 1 asset class is a must.
- Understanding of Key internal and external data concepts, sources and flows.
- Understanding of overall Market Risk & CCR processes.
- FRTB and other recent regulations.
- Knowledge of one or more COTS Products used across Sales & Trading and Risk.
- Experience with/ exposure to realtime architectures, grid computing, ETL infrastructures, virtualization & containerization, cloud computing etc. is a must. Certifications (e.g. Cloud Solution Architect) desirable – but not a pure technologist and has to be a techno-functional person.

- Software development lifecycle experience on popular development
- Demonstrable knowledge of Software components – Databases, frameworks, IDEs, etc.
- Understanding of software architecture
- Deep understanding of software organizations and roles
- Demonstrable experience in working with offshore teams
Industry Experience
Required - Good experience and exposure in Financial Industry – Investment Banking, Investment Management, Brokerage and Wealth Management, Risk and Compliance
Delivery Skills
The candidate must demonstrate a progressive set of experiences e.g. developer, technical lead, solution architect, project manager, etc. against a software development lifecycle context.
