Commercial (Construction) Litigation Attorney

The Opportunity:
A well-established Atlanta-based law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its growing litigation practice. This is a full-time position for a highly motivated and detail-oriented attorney with construction experience handling all stages of commercial litigation. You will play a vital role in representing our clients across various industries in complex commercial disputes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of commercial litigation matters, from pre-litigation evaluation and negotiation through trial or arbitration.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop winning legal strategies.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other court-related documents with clarity and persuasiveness.
- Oversee all phases of discovery, including document review, e-discovery, and depositions.
- Prepare and present compelling arguments at hearings, mediations, and trials or arbitration hearings.
- Build strong relationships with clients providing clear communication and managing expectations throughout the litigation process.
- Integrate overall litigation strategy into day-to-day case management.
- Stay current on relevant case law, Georgia Civil Practice Act, and local rules.
- Develop a strong book of business and contribute to the firm's growth (preferred).
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial litigation.
- Demonstrated success in handling all stages of complex commercial disputes.
- Strong understanding of construction law and familiarity with Georgia lien laws (required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advocate persuasively in court.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a collaborative spirit.
- Experience in Georgia state courts required.
