Senior Satellite Systems Engineer | LA

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system architectures for satellite missions.
- Analyze and allocate requirements to subsystems, ensuring design coherence and traceability.
- Perform system-level trade-off studies to optimize performance, reliability, and cost.
- Develop and maintain system-level documentation, including specifications and interface control documents.
- Coordinate subsystem integration, ensuring compliance with system requirements.
- Collaborate with test and verification teams to validate system requirements.
- Manage system requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct requirements analysis to ensure compliance with customer needs and industry standards.
- Track requirement changes, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to capture needs and expectations.
- Identify and assess technical risks, develop mitigation plans, and monitor their implementation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system integration and performance.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and project status updates.
Requirements:
- U.S. Person status
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of systems engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or satellite industry.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with satellite systems and their interdependencies.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Excel, SysML).
- Experience with system-level integration, testing, and verification processes.
