Senior Technician (Manufacturing Engineering)

Job Overview
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, the position is responsible for providing technical leadership in equipment, process, and operational efficiency for assembly, quality control, and packaging technologies. The incumbent should optimize the production equipment by providing subject-matter-expertise for process technology while ensuring cGMP-compliant manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop or maintain programs associated with automated production equipment.
- Execute routine equipment preventive maintenance.
- Support equipment start-up, characterizations, and qualifications.
- Support equipment installations, or transfers.
- Support the design of production layouts that minimize production impacts.
- Recommend corrective or preventive actions to assure or improve product quality or reliability
- Monitor manufacturing processes to identify ways to reduce losses, decrease time requirements, or improve quality.
- Support and in some cases perform equipment changeovers.
- Maintain spare parts inventory.
- Ensure adherence to safety rules and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualification
- Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- 7-10 years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing setting, preferably medical device, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Must be able to communicate appropriately and accurately both orally and in writing.
- Must have practical experience and solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Independent thinker and problem solver.
- Equipment automation experience
- SAP EAM or relevant enterprise calibration and spare parts inventory management system.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or listen.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds.
- Able to work Monday to Friday 1:00 PM- 9:30 PM, flex to work overtime when needed and some Saturdays.
- Schedule: Monda- Friday 1:00 PM- 9:30PM, flex to work Overtime and some Saturdays
