Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented and driven Insurance Defense Associate to handle a diverse caseload involving tort litigation and product liability matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these areas and be prepared to take on complex cases from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases, focusing on tort litigation and product liability.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
- Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
- Stay current with developments in tort law, product liability, and related fields.
- Provide clients with clear and strategic legal advice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Texas State Bar.
- 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense, with a focus on tort litigation and product liability.
- Strong litigation skills, including trial experience.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases and deadlines.
