Position Overview:
My client is looking to bring on ahands-on SME Systems Engineer who will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from conception to delivery.
Responsibilities:
- System requirements development, validation, and decomposition.
- Lead program reviews and interface design.
- Drive system integration efforts, ensuring smooth coordination among all stakeholders and embedded system components.
- Lead risk management initiatives, identifying potential risks and implementing preventative measures.
- Perform system modeling and simulation, and conduct thorough requirements reviews and tracking.
- Plan, define, develop, and qualify test procedures.
- Lead the RCCA process for NCRs.
- Perform systems analysis and verification, and compile systems close-out reports.
Technical Leadership Responsibilities:
- Guide design efforts, conduct design reviews, and oversee drawing releases.
- Organize and track system configuration and changes.
- Coordinate and develop test programs, including procedures, equipment, and reporting.
- Coordinate engineering activities in the Engineering Department and Program Office.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to customers and engage with customers about complex technical concepts / technologies.
Skills:
- Experience with the full product lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
- Hands-on experience in development, testing, and analysis.
- Experience with electronic circuit design for embedded computer systems.
- In-depth knowledge of embedded computing hardware.
- Extensive experience interfacing with customers and managing technical and program stakeholders.
- Proven track record managing requirements on large-scale projects.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, Math, or related field.
- 10+ years of systems engineering and/or related experience.
- Experience with MIL-SPEC programs, processes, and standards.
- Experience with GPU, PowerPC, I/O, Communications Processors, and DSP applications.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with space programs, processes, and standards.
