A large financial institution are currently looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join their team on a 1-2 year project, with the view to start ASAP. The hourly rate for this position will be $30-$50 per hour and will be onsite one day a week in Plano Texas. The only visas being being considered for this position are US Citizens, Green Card Holders, H4EAD and TN Visas.
You will be responsible for understanding business problems, designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures, and ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of their platforms.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AWS-based platforms, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
- Identify and resolve platform issues, focusing on build, performance, and bug-free delivery.
- Leverage a deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, EFS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, EKS, ECS, MFTS, ALB, NLB) to design and implement robust, high-performing solutions.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, proactively addressing customer needs and driving innovation.
- Provide primary support for the cloud platform, troubleshooting issues, automating tasks, and optimizing systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Qualifications
- Experience in Python, Java or Go
- Practical expeirence in building web environments on AWS and be able to provide examples
- Practical experience using Terraform
- Bonus would be to have a certification in AWS
