Position Overview:
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in managing and optimizing procurement activities, with a focus on cost analysis, Bill of Materials (BOM) reporting, inventory tracking, and component pricing. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our procurement strategies align with our financial goals and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update Bill of Materials (BOM) pricing, ensuring all component prices are accurate and reflective of current market conditions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to negotiate and maintain competitive component pricing, while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Track and monitor costs related to procurement, inventory, and production, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Oversee daily inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, reducing both excess inventory and potential shortages.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and collaborate with Finance and Operations to optimize inventory flow and minimize carrying costs.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of inventory data, supporting decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate component costs regularly, maintaining detailed records and adjusting pricing strategies as necessary to align with market trends.
- Provide regular updates and reports on cost tracking, inventory status, and component pricing to support strategic planning and operational improvements.
- Support the daily coordination of procurement activities, working closely with Project Management, Operations and Finance to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all processes adhere to company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related role.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost analysis and BOM management.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
