This is a Part time role
1 day a week – 6-8 hours (~24-40/month)
Ideally looking for someone with past HSE experience and/or OSHA certification etc. in a chemical environment.
Highlighted aspects are the ones I would focus on, look for strengths/experience. I can handle any knowledge gaps, just need someone to execute the tasks and be onsite on to implement and inspect for issues.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support management/supervision to ensure all site associates understand and comply with all applicable regulatory, plant and corporate EHS and related policies and procedures.
· Ensures that all EHS reporting is completed timely and accurately.
· Maintains safety systems, policies, and procedures for the site.
· Inspects facilities, machinery, equipment, and personnel practices to identify potential safety and health concerns and hazards.
· Conducts accident investigation and provides recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
· Acts as Company representative in dealing with government agencies on safety, health and environmental matters affecting the site.
· Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
· Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
· Compiles and submits required safety, health, and environmental reports to corporate and regulatory agencies.
· Assist with managing contractor EHS compliance.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Education (preferred)
· Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or scientific field preferred.
Experience:
· 3-5 years of hands-on ESH experience, ideally chemical handling
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
· Proficient computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
· Ability to deliver training materials utilizing various types of media.
· CSP or CIH certification ideal or OSHA 30-hour certified.
· The employee will occasionally have to lift up to 50 pounds.
