Summary
The position is responsible for broad supply chain analysis and materials management actions. They will serve as the focal point for material management administrative duties and will collaborate with internal stakeholders to further develop and improve the material management ecosystem through continuous improvement initiatives and projects. The Supply Chain Manager position is data-driven and requires adept data analysis skills.
Responsibilities
- Under broad direction, responsible for the coordination, tracking, and management of all Deep Blue inventory ensuring inventory is material mastered and cataloged accurately
- Coordinate with internal teams to create RFP processes with vendors for major contracts on an annual basis
- Produce and analyze materials management KPIs and vendor KPI’s
- Ensures that KPIs and business controls are operating effectively through reporting and indirect leadership
- Analysis and reporting of inventory costs & spending across all operation departments
- Manage the sale/disposal of Deep Blue surplus capital equipment and inventory in line with the Deep Blue disposal policy
- Coordinate the setup and monitoring of material master data settings and area KPIs
- Assist with Inventory Forecasting, Reconciliations, and Inventory outlook reporting
- Review of SWD reconciliations with the Corporate Controller to ensure accurate stock control and accounting practice
- Working closely with internal stakeholders supporting any vendor-related issues, new purchases, disposals, and reporting requirements including attendance at departmental meetings as required
- Support the organization’s cycle counts, including third-party locations and reconciling stock discrepancies
- Action on any MRP requirements, including communication with field stakeholders and department leaders
- Recommends and develops continuous improvement initiatives related to materials management Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required Undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree in business administration, materials management, industrial distribution, engineering, or similar discipline preferred
- 3+ years of related inventory and material analyst/manager experience
- Production planning, supply planning, procurement, or other related experience preferred
- Experience working within a materials control/warehouse environment is a plus
- Experience supporting and participating in SOX and internal assessments
- Knowledge of the financial impact of inventory, warehouse inventory, and cycle counting analysis, warehouse/yard organization, and counting frequency is required
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines.
- Willing to work after hours as needed to meet deadlines.
- Continuing development in functional/technical skills
- Adapts well to changes in responsibilities and workloads.
- Good problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, start-up environment.
- Experience within the Permian Basin is preferred
- Familiar with oilfield terminology and operations
