• Demonstrated and extensive experience with HPLC/UPLC.
• Experience with nanoparticle characterization techniques (DLS, MALS-FFF, NTA, encapsulation efficiency, etc.).
• Experience with mammalian cell-based assays which include flow cytometric readouts.
• Experience with ELISAs.
• Experience with the downstream purification of biological molecules (AKTA, chromatography, TFF, viral filtration, etc.)
The Assoc. Scientist will join the Gene Delivery and Editing Process Development (GDEPD) organization supporting analytical development for production and characterization of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and process related residuals, which are critical to generating Client’s groundbreaking cell therapies.
The associate will join the LNP Platform Development team working on initiatives intended to drive next-generation LNP platform development focused on gene editing capabilities. Specifically, in the pursuit of end-to-end assessment of Client technologies and approaches, the associate will seek to become highly proficient in developing and performing analytical assays for characterization of LNPs, while gaining familiarity of LNP process development methods. The associate will also have the unique opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of other gene editing technologies and will be encouraged to work collaboratively with a range of different groups doing different types of process development.
Responsibilities:
• Execute and troubleshoot analytical assays for characterization of LNPs (HPLC/UPLC, DLS, fluorescence-based methods, etc.).
• Assist in the design and evaluate the performance of new analytical development assays of LNPs including HPLC/UPLC, DLS, and fluorescence-based methods.
• Assist in establishing protocols for analytical assays.
• Manage the flow of samples, data, and analyses.
• Optimize workflows for assessing LNP attributes.
• Actively participate and support lab maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebook and documentation.
