Planet Technology has partnered with a Burlington, MA based company to locate an IT Support candidate for a 6+ month contract to hire position (based on performance). This role will be on a hybrid basis (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
No 3P's or sponsorship permitted. Candidates should be legal to work in the US and not require sponsorship at any time.
This individual will be responsible for Level 1 and 2 support and remote filed workers. You will work closely with one other team member locally but part of a global IT team.
JOB PURPOSE
The role is responsible for ensuring Level 1&2 end user, system and application support across IT ecosystem and technology platforms by following an ITIL driven, ITSM based methodology. This includes responding to user tickets and taking phone calls, troubleshooting IT issues, managing, and setting up IT assets and procurement, root cause analysis, usage of insights & monitoring tools to solve user, system and application issues, documenting Knowledge base articles. This role requires expertise across end user computing, cloud, servers, applications & network to allow end to end troubleshooting of incidents and resolution. The role will be best suited for someone who has interest in developing an advanced skillset in end user computing with a career growth to a EUC engineer, although minimum prior experience is required in EUC to begin with.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years equivalent work experience in a similar role - Essential.
- Advanced skills in PC imaging, configuration, and troubleshooting (hardware and software) - Essential
- Good knowledge of O365
- Knowledge of MDM, in particular Intune– preferred.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud and services across Iaas & PaaS, good knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10 and MS SQL Server - Highly preferred
- Exposure to Microsoft IIS, .NET application support, Application architecture (e.g. client-server) is preferred – Highly preferred
- Scripting experience is a nice to have (PowerShell, Python, Bash) - Highly preferred
- Good knowledge of mobile application support and diagnostics (mainly Apple products) - preferred.
- Excellent understanding of ITSM tools and automation (e.g. ServiceDesk, ServiceNow) - preferred
