OPPORTUNITY: Reporting to VP of Operations, the Senior Production Manager is responsible for leading an operations team to be a productive, efficient, quality-focused group. Key areas of responsibility and opportunities to achieve are as follows:
- Drive improvements utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methods across production
- Improve operational delivery and production costs by ensuring products are produced safety first, in high quality, under sound engineering and EHS standards at optimal cost while identifying and implementing new processes, tools, fixtures, and workstations
- Improve production and quality assurance capabilities in root cause analyses of cycle time, yield, and process variation to reduce waste and develop new processes, procedures, and equipment specifications
- Execute daily production plan schedule by establishing and adhering to on time commitments, and by optimizing the usage of equipment, people, maintenance services, and resources
- Maintain high standards for excellent customer service. Establish and manage extraordinary standards of customer service and reputation by leading a responsive production team that interfaces with external stakeholders
- Ensure a safe, healthy, clean, ergonomically sensitive productive workplace with EHS and 5S standards; stay compliant with local, state, and federal safety requirements
- Display strong leadership. Develop innovative, high-performing production teams by exercising strong leadership and judgment skills to acquire, train, and cultivate chemical operations, processing and filling
REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Engineering, MBA preferred. 5+ years working in manufacturing in chemical manufacturing environment. Skilled in Lean / Six Sigma principles. Supervisory experience required. Looking for upside potential. Ideal candidates might have worked for 3M, AksoNobel, BASF, Corteva, Dow, DuPont, H. B. Fuller, Henkel, Master Bond, P&G, Solvay, W. R. Grace or like industry.
REWARD: $110,000-$140,000 DOE plus 10% bonus and a generous benefits package that includes 410K, tuition reimbursement, and upside.
