The Director of Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing the procurement strategy to ensure the cost-effective acquisition of capacity and services essential for their 3PL operations. Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Planning
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Conduct market analysis to identify and leverage emerging trends and opportunities in the logistics industry.
- Lead the procurement team in sourcing and negotiating contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
Vendor Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly and manage risk to ensure continuity of capacity.
- Develop and implement vendor management programs to drive performance improvements and cost reductions.
Cost Management and Budget
- Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service levels.
- Monitor procurement spend and generate regular reports on cost savings and procurement activities.
Operational Excellence and Compliance
- Ensure procurement processes and policies are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the logistics or 3PL industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
