Position - Process Engineer
Location - Lansing, MI
Salary - $70K/Annum to $80K/Annum

The role will support a team responsible for the overhaul of numerous MRO Process Plans and the development of the applicable supporting documentation for Production Part Approval Process and other process control documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Review / Complete all Production Part Approval Processes for Aftermarket Operations
o
Review and comprehend technical data
o
Identify Key Product Characteristics (KPCs)
o
Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
o
Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFEMA)
o
Measurement System Analysis
o
First Article Inspection
•
Review / Complete Process Certifications
o
Cpk Study
o
Impact Maturity Reviews
o
Supplier, Input, Process Output, Customer (SIPOC) analysis
o
Control Plan
•
Support Work Instruction / Process Plan overhauls
o
Utilizing outputs from PPAP to drive improvements to current Process Plans
Basic Qualifications:
•
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Technical Field with a minimum of 5 years' experience working process certification / control in a manufacturing setting.
•
Process management / statistical process control / data analysis / analysis of variance / design of experiment / process risk analysis / PPAP / FMEA, control plans, root cause analysis experience required.
•
Proficiency on the computer with Microsoft Office / O365.
•
Able to interpret manufacturing drawings and 3D models.
•
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (6s, etc.).
o
Six-sigma green belt certification preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
•
10 years' experience with process certification / control in a manufacturing setting.
•
FAA Repair Station experience.
•
Experience with maintenance, repair and overhaul of aerospace components.
•
Experience with composite material repair and / or manufacturing
