OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Our elementary school (Match Community Day) is accepting applications for Lower Elementary Lead Teachers (PreK to 2nd Grade). Lead Teachers are fully responsible for the growth and achievement of the student in their class (we have 18 students/class in Pre-K and Kindergarten and 24 students/class in grades 1-5). Lead Teachers are supported in the classroom by associate teachers, special education staff, or aides. The positions are based at our elementary school campus on 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park.
We are only able to consider applicants who have current US work authorization.
The salary range for teachers new to Match is $61,819-98,899 and is determined by the candidates prior years of full-time teaching experience. The hours for the position are 7:00am-2:45pm every school day except Wednesdays, when staff stay until 4:30pm for professional development and meetings. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of employee health insurance costs and up to $150/month in student loan repayment assistance.

We are looking for Lower Elementary Lead Teacher applicants who:
- have at least two years of full-time experience as classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting;
- hold a valid and appropriate license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or obtain the licensure within a year of date of hire;
- believe that all students can and will succeed;
- desire to continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback;
- have a proven record of student growth and achievement.
