VP, Mainframe Operations (IPL, JES2, HMC)
LOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA - Hybrid schedule (3 days per week in-office required)

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of VP, Mainframe Operations (IPL, JES2, HMC) to join our Technology Services Group.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Perform first level monitoring to ensure a good overall health of the Mainframe server.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the TSO mainframe computing facilities.
- Monitor system consoles for unusual conditions and analyze failures.
- Identify system operational and performance problems.
- Understand and able to diagnose console messages and WTOR’s.
- Should be able to handle problems with SMF, JES2, DASD, Initiators, etc.
- Hands on with MVS Commands and JES2 Commands.
- Hands on with Shutdown / IPL procedure and HMC Activities is a must.
- Provide Disaster Recovery capabilities to support all production systems.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred
- 6 - 8 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Experience in handling Mainframe severity issues.
- Knowledge of Mainframe concepts and good understanding of JES2, CICS, DB2, IMS, VTAM and Hardware.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and ServiceNow is a plus.
- Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
- Positive team player attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
