What You’ll Do:
Lead Development Efforts: Be actively involved in all parts of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including gathering requirements, coding, testing, documenting, and deploying robust software solutions.
Guidewire PolicyCenter Expertise: Utilize your 7+ years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter to customize, configure, and enhance our application, ensuring seamless integration with external systems.
Problem-Solving Pro: Independently resolve complex production issues, lead troubleshooting efforts, and optimize system performance across multiple applications.
Mentor & Collaborate: Work closely with Quality Assurance and other stakeholders to ensure high-performing, resilient systems, while mentoring junior developers to achieve excellence.
Innovative Solutioning: Engage in planning and strategy sessions, bring your technical acumen and fresh ideas to the table, and contribute to the overall success of our projects.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: At least 7 years of progressive development experience specifically in Guidewire PolicyCenter, including implementations, upgrades, and conversions.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in GOSU language, PCFs, Rules management, plug-in development, SOAP/REST APIs, and integration with third-party software.
PolicyCenter Specialization: Experience with configuring Product Models, Policy Rating, workflows, and batch processes within PolicyCenter.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong debugging skills and the ability to resolve defects and system issues independently.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Additional Expertise: Experience with public cloud environments (AWS), continuous integration tools, and design patterns.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications: ACE or Specialist certification in Guidewire PolicyCenter is a plus.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Property & Casualty Insurance, particularly in Homeowners and Commercial Property.
Guidewire Suite Knowledge: Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter and BillingCenter is advantageous.
Agile Experience: Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
Enterprise Software Concepts: Familiarity with J2EE technologies, service-oriented architectures, and design patterns.
