Akkodis is seeking a Quality Manufacturing Engineer who will have a rare and exceptional opportunity to be an essential part of the start-up team, building the facility from the ground up. We are spearheading the evolution of the electric vehicle (EV) battery sector through strategic partnerships aimed at enhancing product offerings and processes to boost customer satisfaction. As a key player in this transformation, you will work closely with our teams to advance the development of batteries essential for achieving excellence in the electric vehicle market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess gate safety and reliability evaluations ahead of time.
- Address marketing and cell development needs; evaluate RFQs by analyzing test conditions, conducting tests, and reporting results.
- Perform special and urgent tests requested by major clients.
- Review and approve the results of safety, performance, and reliability tests during gate evaluation.
- Conduct regular safety tests for shipments, including prerequisite testing of manufacturing instruments and reporting the outcomes.
- Execute reliability tests for mass production.
- Test products affected by 4M changes.
- Develop and maintain the Battery Quality Management System (B_QMS) in real-time.
- Set test standards for various items, update revised versions, and analyze the measurement system (MSA).
- Plan, lead, and coordinate certification projects.
- Address post-assessment tasks for UL WTDP, TUV, and UN certifications.
- Handle S-mark cell certifications for ESS in Japan (UL Japan, UL Korea, TUV Rhineland), and UL1642 and UK 1973 certifications for xEV and ESS in North America (UL Korea, ULAG); manage domestic certifications through the Korea Battery Industry Association (KBIA).
- Conduct UN transportation testing and generate test reports.
- Oversee asset management and maintain evaluation instruments, including maintaining a log of instrument checks and standard operating procedures.
- Review specifications for evaluation instruments and place orders as needed.
- Plan and conduct monthly calibrations.
- Manage and monitor the environment of the quality evaluation facility, focusing on 3R and 5S principles.
- Perform job hazard analyses, including near-miss incidents, compliance, and material safety data evaluations.
- Ensure the safety and security of the quality evaluation facility, including IT and general facility management.
- Carry out other assigned tasks as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience:
- Ability to quickly analyze and resolve issues through root cause analysis and drive necessary changes in the production departments. Flexibility to rotate among various plant positions, such as Production or Quality.
- Strong customer focus and adherence to plant processes in line with the Quality Operating System.
- Proven ability to execute tasks effectively while managing multiple priorities.
- Capability to act as a confident technical mentor to both hourly and salaried production staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to support any shift within a 7-day work schedule.
- Willingness to travel extensively during the initial plant start-up phase.
- Demonstrated leadership with strong interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Material, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in developing and managing quality systems.
- Proven success in project management and Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation, with experience in production validation processes preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
