Job Description:
As a D365 Business Central Application Support Administrator you’ll provide a key role on the Team to implement a new ERP system for a Food Manufacturing company in Irvine, CA. The successful candidate should provide extensive knowledge and experience in inventory, costing, warehousing, and manufacturing modules, as well as a proficiency in configuration, data management, training and support, and problem solving.
Candidate must be local to the Irvine, CA area.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to gather and document business requirements.
- Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central modules based on client needs.
- Set up and customize Business Central to align with specific project requirements.
- Establish and maintain project plans and manage to plan.
- Demonstrate tenacity in problem-solving and the ability to independently test solutions, leveraging a strong technical background.
- Ensure successful implementation of Business Central applications.
- Conduct testing to verify functionality meets business needs.
- Provide first-level support to clients and troubleshoot solution issues.
- Migrate and validate business data from existing client applications.
- Document solution configurations conforming to company standards.
- Orchestrate unit tests and user-acceptance tests for implemented solutions.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain and Accounting processes, and their hands-on relationship to Business Central modules, including but not limited to: Procurement, Inventory Management, Demand forecasting, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, and Product Information Management.
- Ability to configure and customize Dynamics 365 Business Central modules to meet specific business requirements, including setting up item hierarchies, procurement parameters, inventory policies, etc.
- Demand Planning and Forecasting: Skills in utilizing demand forecasting features in Dynamics 365 to forecast customer demand, manage inventory levels, and optimize supply chain operations.
- Inventory Optimization: Proficiency in managing inventory levels, ABC analysis, safety stock calculation, reorder point setup, and optimizing inventory turnover while minimizing stockouts and excess stock.
- Warehouse Management: Knowledge of warehouse operations, picking strategies, put-away rules, wave processing and cross-docking.
- Transportation Management: Understanding transportation planning, carrier management, route optimization, freight calculations, and managing transportation operations.
- Integration with External Systems: Proficiency in integrating Dynamics 365 with external systems such as transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and IoT devices for real-time data exchange.
- Compliance and Regulatory Standards: Implementing compliance measures, ensuring adherence to industry-specific regulations, and managing documentation related to supply chain compliance within Dynamics 365.
- Analytics and Reporting: Skills in generating supply chain analytics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and customized reports using Power BI or built-in reporting tools within Dynamics 365.
- Customer and Supplier Relationship Management: Having a working understanding of Dynamics CRM Sales and Customer Insights (including Marketing Automation), is a major plus.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central with hands-on expertise with Azure Implementations for Apps, Services, APIs and Data.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in lieu of every year of education
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, customization, configuration, and delivery.
- Strong client training skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
