Our commercial litigation and construction law firm is seeking a mid-level litigation associate with at least seven years of experience to join our busy construction and commercial litigation practice. The firm is located in the loop and consists of former AMLaw 100 partners and well respected commercial litigators. The firm frequently litigates and arbitrates "bet the business" cases and has represented Fortune 500 companies as well as large and mid-sized commercial and industrial contractors. The firm has a reasonable billable hour requirement. Employees enjoy a diverse team and a familial environment. The firm pays for CLEs, bar dues, and work-related expenses.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling construction litigation cases. However, commercial litigation experience will also be viewed favorably. Ideally, the candidate will be comfortable drafting and arguing complex motions, taking depositions, preparing discovery, and trying cases. The candidate will work well under pressure and will have the ability to meet tough deadlines. The candidate must have strong legal writing skills, should be able to work with limited supervision, and work with other associates.
The candidate will join a team that is managed by a partner and will work with other associates and staff to litigate the firm's busy docket of complex commercial litigation cases.
