Role Overview:
My client is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Network Engineer to be a key player in maintaining and optimising their advanced network infrastructure. This role is 100% hands-on, focusing on high-performance networking with no managerial responsibilities. You will be the go-to expert in your domain, contributing to critical projects and ensuring the network is primed for low-latency trading and robust performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage complex network architectures, focusing on VXLAN, Cisco Nexus, and BGP protocols.
- Optimise and maintain low-latency networks, with experience in Solarflare technology being a plus.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, with a preference for Ansible.
- Configure and manage Fortigate firewalls, ensuring security and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in real-time, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in high-performance environments.
- CCIE certification is a strong plus.
- Deep expertise with VXLAN, Cisco Nexus, BGP, and related network technologies.
- Experience with low-latency networks and Solarflare technology is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with Ansible preferred.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Fortigate firewalls.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment, working 5 days a week in the office.
