Job Title: Azure DevOps (ADO) Project Manager (Onsite)
Location: Houston, Texas (Citywest Blvd)
Employment Type: 40 hours/week, W2 Contract
Assignment Duration: 12 months
Overview:
You will work closely with the Program Owner and Workstream Leads to manage project deliverables and enhance overall project efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Facilitate Project Management Activities: Drive project progress by coordinating key meetings such as Daily Standups, Weekly Updates, and Steering Committees (SteerCo). Ensure follow-up and closure of action items from these meetings.
- Support Project Execution: Act as a crucial collaborator for the Program Owner and Workstream Leads, supporting the execution of all project activities according to established PMO processes, playbooks, and guidelines.
- Ensure Clear Communication: Develop and distribute project updates to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on project status and developments.
- Proactively Manage Risks and Issues: Identify and escalate critical issues and risks to program leadership promptly, maintaining a comprehensive RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) log to track all potential challenges.
- Maintain Project Plan in Azure DevOps: Oversee and update the team’s project plan within Azure DevOps (ADO) to reflect current progress, milestones, and timelines.
- Document and Communicate Meeting Outcomes: Capture detailed meeting notes, key highlights, and action items to ensure clarity and follow-through on discussions and decisions made during project meetings.
- Organize and Drive Workshops: Lead program workshops to facilitate collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making among team members.
- Develop Program Presentations: Create and update key program documents and presentations, including program updates, workshop outcomes, and weekly summaries.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management.
- PMP Certification is mandatory (no exceptions).
- Demonstrated experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for project management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Energetic and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency in managing critical tasks and activities.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with medium to large teams.
