Python Backend Developer

MUST HAVE PYTHON, PostgreSQL, and AWS (Lambda) experience
Responsibilities:
Continuous development of the decision engine backend, implementing new models and business rules.
Construction of data pipelines and python-based ETL tools for acquiring, processing, and delivering data.
Creation and training of new ML models and algorithms for credit risk underwriting and fraud prevention.
Researching opportunities for using Large Language Models on internal data.
Performing data analysis on financial portfolio data to assess the efficacy of business rules and models.
Developing data models and schemas in our database to enable performant, intuitive analysis and production-grade performance.
Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements, including infrastructure redesign for greater scalability.
Collaborating with stakeholders from Tech, Product, Operations, Marketing, and executive teams to assist them with data-related technical issues.
Becoming an expert on all aspects of the credit risk and underwriting infrastructure.
Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
2+ years of work experience in software engineering/application development.
2+ years of work experience building production-ready Machine Learning algorithms/models.
3+ years of backend services, APIs, web application experience
AWS (Lambdas)
Proficiency in Python and PostgreSQL.
Ability to conduct codes reviews, testing, and refactoring
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
