Title: Civil Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX *(Relocation is offered)
Compensation: 75 to 145k DOE, Bonus
Type: Direct
We are searching for a talented and experienced Civil Engineer to join our residential land development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, and management of residential land development projects. You will play a crucial role in turning project visions into reality while ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop initialization plans and feasibility studies for residential land development projects.
- Craft comprehensive site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management systems, and utility designs in accordance with project requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare and submit permit applications, and ensure all designs meet the necessary codes and standards.
- Generate detailed engineering reports, calculations, and construction drawings.
- Conduct site inspections and provide oversight during construction to ensure adherence to engineering plans and specifications.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, contractors, surveyors, and municipal authorities to facilitate project development.
- Address technical issues and provide innovative solutions throughout the design and construction phases.
- Maintain effective communication with clients to ensure their needs are met and provide project updates.
- Implement sustainable practices and innovative solutions within project designs to promote environmental responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in civil engineering, particularly in residential land development.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure within [6-12] months of hire.
- Strong proficiency in Civil 3D.
- In-depth understanding of residential development codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to technical accuracy.
- Ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Certification in sustainable design practices, such as LEED or similar.
- Familiarity with land surveying principles and methods.
