HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, in conjunction with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM), is seeking an exceptional hospice and palliative care physician to join as their Program Director for their established program.
Qualified Candidates:
The incoming physician must be board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of prior clinical practice of hospice and palliative medicine
Applicants must have record involvement in education and scholarly activities, which included mentoring fellows, serving as clinical supervisor in an inpatient or outpatient setting, developing curricula, and / or participating in didactic activities
Prior academic leadership appointments and / or experience per the ACGME programs ideal
Clinical duties are focus primarily on outpatient hospice and palliative care
Manage 2 fellows per year
Will be responsible for administration and operations; teaching and scholarly activity; resident recruitment and selection, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary action; supervision of residents; and resident education in the context of patient care
