Our client is a large, growing and profitable manufacturer of blown films. They are looking for a
process engineer with deep experience in blown films. In this role, your primary focus will be
process improvement and process standardization. You will also be closely involved with new
film projects.

Process Engineer Responsibilities:
Continuous improvement of processing speeds, conditions, and scrap reduction.
Optimizing new processes from design to product launch.
Working with suppliers, optimize polymer formulations for better performance or lower
cost.
Successfully introducing new products, including heavy involvement in equipment,
process SOP’s, tooling, materials and material development,
Responsible to thoroughly document process requirements and parameters to assure
equipment and work cell team are capable of commercial production. Implementation of
SOP’s (standard operating procedures) Includes standardized work, workplace
organization, quality and packaging specifications
Coordinate all applicable product testing verification and ongoing validation to meet
product specifications as well as comply with applicable local and governmental
regulations.
Qualifications:
A 4-year technical degree.
5 years of blown film engineering experience, with strong knowledge of equipment,
materials, and processing.
Experience managing development projects, improvement projects, tooling projects, etc.
Experience testing polymer materials and finished films to ensure they meet
specifications.
Experience creating SOP’s/WI’s, SPC, and Continuous Improvement tools such as lean
manufacturing, Kaizen, 6 sigma.
