Description
The Program Governance Consultant will work at the direction of the VP OCIO to
- Operate existing program and portfolio reporting playing a key role in development of meaningful steering committee materials
- Develop and document a common understating of the existing program governance process, pain points and targeted plan for near, medium and long term remediation. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Work with VP OCIO and other members of the ITLT To confirm a common understanding of the major categories of programs and ensure all programs are assigned to a category
- IT Foundation
- Major Business Programs
- Integration Programs
- Create a governance matrix that shows the existing cadence of meetings for each program laddering through one of the above mentioned categories Project --> Program --> Category (IT Foundation) and identify what if any, executive steering committee \'catches\' the program
- Identify any other governance forums as discovered.
- Understand information captured at each point of the governance process and tools for capture with a focus on Status, Risks, Issues
- Document high level current state roles and responsibilities at each stage of the governance process and identify any current state pain points or gaps.
- Work with IT Finance and Project/ Program leaders to deconstruct and document existing processes for program financial management. Make recommendations to improve process and integrate with finance and governance timelines .
- Skills and Experience:
- 5 - 10 years in Program and Portfolio Management
- 3 - 5 Years business process analysis and design
- 5 -10 Years working with senior audiences
