SUMMARY:
The Senior Buyer is responsible for overseeing procurement operations. As the Senior Buyer, you will focus on cost-effective sourcing, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing inventory. This role requires the Senior Buyer to develop and implement strategies that align with organizational goals, drive cost reductions, and ensure supply chain resilience. The Senior Buyer must possess strong market insight, leadership, and process improvement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Senior Buyer will manage procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
- Develop and implement cost reduction, risk management, and inventory optimization strategies as the Senior Buyer.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards under the Senior Buyer role.
- Evaluate and onboard suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulations as directed by the Senior Buyer.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to enhance processes, a key responsibility of the Senior Buyer.
- Optimize inventory management to reduce costs and improve turnover, managed by the Senior Buyer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with business objectives, guided by the Senior Buyer.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems as the Senior Buyer.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance using KPIs, a core task for the Senior Buyer.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to lead effectively in the Senior Buyer role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in procurement.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data for decision-making.
- Experience in forecasting and inventory control.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills.
- Experience with domestic and international suppliers, including import regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
