- Prepare and maintains client room to include stocking and cleaning.
- Be able to obtain vital signs: Blood pressure, Height, Weight, Waist Circumference, Pulse and Respirations accurately.
- Able to perform injections Deltoid, Gluteal, intradermal and subcutaneous correctly.
- Records client information in appropriate medical records
- Assists licensed staff with lab results tracking and follow-up.
- Maintains client confidentiality in all encounters.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Psychiatry Department Office Manager
- Providers support to Psychiatric Providers including labs, entering medications, telephone contact with clients, medical offices and community partners, refilling prescriptions per LMP request, contacting insurance companies, and other support duties, as needed and requested by LMP and/or Psychiatry Department Office Manager.
- Documents accurately, client concerns and symptoms
- Provides education to client/family or guardians and documents actions.
- Maintains medication samples and works with pharmaceutical representatives to provide appropriate stock of sample medication.
- interacts with clients, family members, clinical staff and administrative staff as a liaison for Psychiatric Providers to provide information and address basic requests/needs on behalf of the providers. Documents as appropriate.
- Requests and communicates needed information from other agencies, physicians, family members, community partners that enhances care for KBBH clients. Documents this in clinical record.
- Completes all documentation in client’s records in a timely manner in accordance with KBBH policies and applicable statues and rules.
- Documents appropriate services, such as screenings, medication education, case management in KBBH electronic health record.
- Ability to establish rapport and deal tactfully with persons from varied racial, ethnic, cultural and/or economic backgrounds.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful and emergency situations.
Education:Must meet requirements to qualify:
- High School diploma or higher education required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- Current CPR certification required.
