Responsibilities

Generate purchase orders to suppliers for assigned projects in a timely fashion and work with suppliers to confirm delivery dates to ensure on-time delivery to our customers.
Manage trucking and 3PL vendors to ensure accurate as well as timely delivery of finished goods.
Enter as well as maintain relevant data in the MRP/ERP system per documented purchasing procedures.
Monitor and provide clear communications to suppliers as to the business requirements and expectations for delivery, quality, customer support, and continuous improvement.
Work with logistics on shipping arrangements and to ensure orders are closed within the target time frame.
Resolve 3-way match issues between purchase orders, receipts, and supplier invoices.
Experience and understanding of contracting and purchasing strategies.
Excellent understanding of procurement processes which include both materials and contracts management and corporate governance principles.
Encourage and promote innovation in obtaining procurement objectives.
Excellent organizational, technical writing and verbal communication skills required.
Responsible for developing and completing the Project Execution Plan indicating the criticality level of each planned procurement requirement.
Participates in pre- and post-award meetings to review and discuss schedules and potential problem areas that may impact required delivery dates.
Willingness to drive project efficiency and know when to elevate and encourage Team for success.
Understands Incoterms and associated risk and help mitigate as necessary.

Requirements:

BS in related field or equivalent combinations of commercial training and/or related experience may be substituted for degree
Five (5) Years of purchasing or expediting experience in a actuator, valve, machinery, or related environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system
Experience dealing directly with customers.
Track record of success expediting purchase orders in times of heavy workload.
