Overview:
Lakeview Farms is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Indirect Procurement to oversee and manage all aspects of indirect procurement activities. This role is critical in driving cost efficiencies, ensuring the timely availability of non-production related goods and services, and supporting the overall business objectives. The Director of Indirect Procurement will lead a team of procurement professionals and collaborate with various departments to optimize procurement processes and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for indirect spend categories, including IT, marketing, facilities, and professional services.
- Align procurement strategies with overall company objectives to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Set clear goals and performance metrics for the procurement team.
Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Process Optimization:
- Streamline procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Implement best practices in procurement, including the use of technology and data analytics to inform decision-making.
Cost Management:
- Monitor and manage indirect procurement budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives and opportunities for value creation.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and senior management, to understand and meet their procurement needs.
- Communicate procurement strategies and initiatives effectively across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing indirect procurement categories.
