Job Description: This position involves promptly responding to both urgent and non-urgent calls and/or hospital codes.It includes offering medical assistance and care to patients in either pre-hospital or hospital settings. The role also entails contributing to the continuous evaluation of patients by recognizing their needs and preferences to make informed decisions about treatment.Additionally, the job requires administering advanced medical care and fundamental life support services to patients, utilizing suitable medical tools, equipment, and treatment methods. There may be occasions where you will be asked to provide patient care within the hospital environment, performing tasks assigned by a registered nurse, taking into account your training and capabilities.

Qualifications:
State licensure/certification as a Paramedic or a Registered Nurse authorized to operate as a Paramedic in the appropriate state of practice.
Work Experience:NIMS 100, 200, 700Over 75, need to have medical permission.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification required at time of hire.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required at time of hire.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification. (or must obtain within 6 months of hire)Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency.
Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health 's insurer.
State Background check must provide clearance to work with vulnerable adults.
