Moichor delivers cutting-edge computer vision and data solutions to solve diagnostic challenges for veterinary clinics. We are seeking a highly skilled IoT/Edge Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to developing and deploying our in-clinic microscope systems.
The ideal candidate for this position has a strong background in IoT/Edge software engineering, AWS cloud technologies, and information security. This role will be instrumental in engineering, maintaining, and securing our IoT applications and associated cloud infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities
IoT/Edge Application Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain software for IoT devices, specifically to operate microscope systems deployed across global locations.
- Test and debug device software and cloud services.
- Develop IoT/Edge application management in AWS cloud
- Leverage AWS cloud services to develop and implement robust IoT/device management solutions, encompassing device provisioning, connectivity, data ingestion, and management.
- Optimize relevant AWS infrastructure for the edge system's performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Conduct security assessments and implement measures to protect IoT devices and associated cloud infrastructure from cyber threats.
Communication
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and veterinary pathologists to develop real-time image analysis and decision support solutions, ensuring seamless integration with microscope hardware and software.
- Document the development and architectural details of the IoT/Edge software and systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest IoT and cloud technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IoT/device management, including device provisioning, connectivity, and data management.
- Expertise in AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC.
- Solid foundation in information security principles and practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and automation tools.
- Experience with image processing and computer vision techniques is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
