Job Title: Network Engineer III
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer III to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues related to Access and Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) devices in the field, enhancing network infrastructure, and ensuring optimal network security and connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated field issues with Access and CPE devices.
- Perform assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps.
- Establish security measures, connectivity, and access parameters for network infrastructure.
- Provide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure based on performance assessments.
- Test and tune security devices and systems to ensure robust network security.
- Program and configure routers and switches to enhance network functionality.
- Implement communications technologies for both data and voice applications.
- Manage network services from the planning phase through to implementation.
- Ensure solid knowledge and application of routing protocols, network hardware and software, and security technologies.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in network engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of DOCSIS and EPON standards.
- Proficient with CMTS platforms including Casa C100G, Arris E6000, Cisco cBR8.
- Experience with RPHY, Harmonic vCMTS, and Vecima RPDs.
- Familiarity with EPON platforms such as ADTRAN 95XX, SDX-6210, Vecima (Nokia) 7360, and Distributed Access Architecture SF-4x, SC-2D3.
- Comprehensive understanding of routing protocols including OSPF, ISIS, BGP, and v4/v6 Multicast.

- Ability to write and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Ability to develop and follow detailed technical test plans.
- Creative network troubleshooting skills.
