LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Lead Database Administrator with our client in the Lake Mary, FL office for a direct hire opportunity.
Hybrid role in Lake Mary, FL - 2-3 days in office a week
The Lead Database Administrator will manage all aspects of database operations alongside the Database Manager. This role involves managing a range of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) in a highly available hybrid environment (on-premises and AWS).
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall database administration, including support, maintenance, monitoring, tuning, optimizing, and periodic maintenance.
- Handle installations, updates, upgrades, and backups/restores/recovery processes.
- Design and analyze SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, and manage system architecture.
- Manage incidents and problem resolution, escalating issues as necessary.
- Provide timely database statistics, data, and support for data analytics and other applications.
- Oversee operational tasks such as ETL processes, SQL Agent Jobs, and application releases.
- Provide development and production support for database and application issues.
- Maintain and administer database security access.
- Manage DBA-related projects within the organization.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a database administrator in SQL Server and other RDBMS environments
- Cloud experience AWS or Azure
- SQL Server and PostgreSQL database design, system analysis & architecture
- Experience with Microsoft Clustering and SQL Server Always On High Availability
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Certifications MCSA SQL Server and MCSA Database Administration preferred
Compensation
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
