Job Description: Senior Engineer, Systems / Reliability
Location: San Diego, CA
Pay Rate: $60-65/hr on W-2 (No C2C)
Work Schedule: Onsite at least 3 days a week

Role Overview
As a Senior Systems / Reliability Engineer, you will leverage your extensive technical expertise and leadership skills to provide Systems Engineering leadership throughout the product life cycle. Your role will involve managing the verification and traceability of product requirements for both hardware and software, aiding in product validation, and analyzing reliability and durability verification activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Systems Leadership: Oversee the integration and verification of product requirements and specifications for new hardware and software products.
- Verification & Validation: Lead and manage system verification and validation planning, execution, and reporting. Ensure reliability testing is conducted thoroughly.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineers to achieve verification goals. Act as a technical leader and advocate for continuous improvement within the Systems Engineering function.
- Technical Excellence: Identify and allocate resources to ensure critical project milestones are met. Manage systems integration activities and conduct statistical data analysis.
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS): Apply DFSS best practices to drive product quality and reliability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering is required. Postgraduate degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Systems Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Systems Engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in Reliability & Verification Engineering, including statistical analysis and reliability testing.
- Experience with Systems Integration and Testing, Project Management, and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) practices.
- Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with Quanterion’s 217Plus™:2015 or Sherlock (Ansys).
- Experience with LabView and test automation.
- Ability to use and understand CAD tools such as OrCad, Solidworks, or Cadence.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines (e.g., Marketing, Clinical Representatives, Software Engineers, Test Engineers, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing, Regulatory).
- Attention to Detail: Strong technical writing skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
