Looking for someone to be onsite 3 to 4 days a week in New Haven
Alphina Therapeutics
Alphina Therapeutics is an early-stage biopharma company founded by world class scientists and backed by a strong syndicate of venture capitalists. Based on the work of Alphina’s founders, the company is developing a first-in-class small molecule inhibitor of a metabolic pathway to treat a variety of solid tumors. Alphina is also developing a proprietary companion diagnostic to enable selection of patients whose tumors harbor perturbations which make their tumor exquisitely sensitive to Alphina’s lead compounds. Approximately 30% of all solid tumors display this perturbation and would therefore be a candidate for Alphina’s drug. The company aims to enter the clinic in early 2026. Alphina plans to test their drug candidate in multiple tumor types, which could enable a development path to address a very large market.
Alphina is located at the Elm City Bioscience Center (ECBC) at 55 Church St in New Haven, next to Yale’s campus and easily accessible from both New York and Boston.
