LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Safety Manager to join their team in Mundelein, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, with a focus on developing and implementing comprehensive safety policies and procedures. The Bilingual Safety Manager will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety awareness and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop implement, and oversee safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for all employees.
- Establish measurable safety-related goals and objectives to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace through regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Conduct safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, toolbox talks, and specialized training as needed.
- Lead accident investigation and follow-up procedures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in safety management to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide support and guidance to management and employees on safety-related issues.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking employees.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in safety management or Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) roles.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
- Experience developing and implementing safety policies and procedures in a mid-size organization, preferably in manufacturing or construction industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal, is required.
- Experience with workers' compensation processes and claims management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
