Our Media Tech client is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join their Data Products team. Responsibilities Include: Data Requirement elicitation, scope definition and PRD documentation through stakeholder interviews that span Business Teams, Technology team, Data Engineers, Analysts and internal/external Compliance teams. Act as a Data strategist and subject matter expert for Content Data products and seamlessly navigate every layer of the Data stack to identify opportunities to solve project challenges, including being hands-on in investigating complex / large scale data sets. Partnering with peer Data Product Managers, Program Managers and Engineering leads to articulate problem/solution context, develop roadmaps, iterate on designs and see through project execution until launch and hypercase phases. Manage day-to-day Product Management activities related to multiple scrum teams consisting of Data Engineers & Analysts, including writing user stories, managing story-maps, running backlog refinement, ticket prioritization, reviewing designs and UAT sign off. Work with minimal oversight /guidance in a large matrixed organization with complex tech & data ecosystems; take initiative to simplify and articulate trade-off decisions to business and technical leadership. The role will support /backfill a Principal Product Manager going on leave of absence
Must Haves:
10+ years of product management experience with strong focus on building and delivering successful data products, services and capabilities
Experience within Entertainment and Sports TV Industry
Expertise in Data Product Management
Experience with BI tools, data pipelines and building data proucts Strong foundational understanding of Big Data ecosystems to make trade-off decisions while developing end to end solutions on Cloud/On-Prem/Hybrid Data tech stack.
Experience balancing new product development with maintaining day-to-day data reporting operations in a very large scale enterprise set up
Experience utilizing both qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis techniques and familiarity with common data science models and approaches to problem-solving.
Generally: the ability to plan for what analysts and data scientists need to deliver.
Planning acumen and proven ability to break down work, define an MVP, as well as subsequent iterations and track feature adoption to inform roadmap development.
Experience demonstrating leadership, self-motivation, accountability with strong technical, strategic and problem-solving skills to drive change in a large matrix organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Media and Entertainment Industry, especially around managing Content Metadata Mastering in Reporting and Analytics Context.
Experience working closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Data Scientists in solving complex data-related business challenges and developing short and long term outcomes.
Hands on SQL experience and comfortable exploring data sets for exploratory and analytical evaluations
Comfort in presenting to data-savvy organizational leaders from a product management perspective and driving win-win outcomes for the teams.
Compensation:
$105.00/hr to $109.00/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
