Job Description:
wiZeHR is seeking a skilled and experienced Paralegal-Collections and Litigation Coordinator to join our client’s team as part of a dynamic fin-tech organization. This role is integral in bridging the gap between the client’s collections operations and related legal processes being undertaken by various outside counsel, ensuring a seamless flow of communication and action. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience in both collections and litigation support, with a proven ability to work with legal counsel to manage complex cases efficiently and effectively, reporting directly to the CEO. This position demands a high level of organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to identify and understand legal complexities within the financial services sector.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate for this position will play a crucial role within the collections department, while also maintaining regular communications with the accounting department and third-party legal service providers. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and review of legal documents related to debt collection. It is important for this individual to have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of complex concepts relevant to the financial services industry. Effective follow-up and consistent follow-through are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
· Legal Document Preparation: Prepare and provide documents related to debt collection, including court filings and settlement agreements.
· Compliance: Monitor changes in federal, state, and local laws affecting the collections process and ensure compliance across all operations.
· Case Management: Organize and manage case files, ensuring efficient and timely handling of legal matters related to collections.
· Litigation Support: Assist in preparing for court cases, including gathering evidence, coordinating with external legal counsel, and supporting the legal team during litigation.
· Coordination with Collections and Accounting Teams: Work closely with the collections and accounting departments to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to debt recovery.
· Reporting: Generate detailed reports and summaries for leadership, outlining the status of ongoing cases and highlighting key legal and compliance issues.

Requirements:
· 3-5 years of experience in collections and litigation.
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
· Florida Notary Public certification is a plus.
