The Food Process Engineer is responsible for driving process innovation and optimization within our food production facilities. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will focus on researching and implementing new equipment and processes while ensuring alignment with food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on innovative processes and equipment through traditional methods and by attending industry shows and visiting vendors in North America and Europe.
- Develop detailed project scopes and solicit quotes from potential vendors.
- Maintain close communication with the equipment procurement team, providing necessary documentation.
- Serve as a primary contact for selected vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and update project documentation within the engineering SharePoint.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to verify equipment compliance and functionality.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food processing facility (internship experience considered)
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations
- Proven ability to innovate within food processing and product development
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage workload under pressure

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- 2 years of Engineering experience-Internships will count as well
- Food manufacturing is a plus
